2007: The idea for Pack Wheel began with the creation of an ultra-light single cart for solo backcountry archery elk hunts.
2008: The first working prototype, known as the "Meat Cart," was tested and used successfully.
2011: A lighter, aluminum prototype was developed, leading to the official formation of Pack Wheel.
2012: The company launched its first products, with the 20-inch wheeled Pack Wheels becoming available for purchase.
2013-2014: New wheel sizes (24-inch, 26-inch, and 29er) were introduced, along with improvements to the frame design.
2015: Testing of a motorized hub motor began, but the design was eventually abandoned in favor of non-motorized options
2012. Pack wheel was founded
2018 the Gen 1 e-pack was launched utilizing the motor, chain, and product.
2018-23 We worked thru the Gen2 and launched the Gen 3. Covid made manufacturing a challenge but also forced us to try new equipment which eventually became standard
2023 - present. We have launched on the Gen4 E-Pack and constantly making product improvements. The Gen 4 is the current model and offers shelves and external tiedowns with a reinforced handlebar. A handlebar upgrade is available for the Gen 3.
Moving forward. We're working on product improvements; we have several new products launching and are also working on bringing the overall costs down. This won't be done by cutting quality but rather buying in higher volumes and cutting manufacturing costs. We also intend to carry quality hunting gear that compliments Pack Wheel and launch new accessories for all existing models. Stay tuned for more exciting news
